– March 8, 2010 – Sendio, Inc., developer of the only email system protection solution to utilize self-managing dynamic white lists which totally eliminate email attacks and abuse, today announced Access Bank, Nigeria’s seventh largest bank by assets, with shareholder funds in excess of $1.6 billion, is the latest financial services organization to adopt Sendio email system protection. Access Bank chose Sendio over content filter alternatives because of its proven ability to completely eliminate invalid email, allowing for significant time and resource savings while increasing the level of security for the organization’s considerable amount of managed assets.

Access Bank experienced consistent growth in all key performance indicators over the past six years and has more than 120 branches worldwide. The IT department of approximately 50 was challenged by a detrimental spam problem that plagued its nearly 2000 users with thousands of spam messages daily, resulting in a severe strain of resources. The organization’s previous content-filtering solution also repeatedly tagged critical, time-sensitive company communication messages as spam (false positives) because of content pertaining to monetary values and currency. Since being deployed, Sendio has eliminated more than 600 weekly false positives and the approximately 140 hours per month in time spent managing the problems associated with spam.

“Our mission at Sendio is to restore email as a secure and trusted method of communication through the elimination of spam and email threats like viruses and botnets,” said Peter Ombres, president of Sendio. “Access Bank’s positive, measurable results provide validation of the value we bring to the financial services industry, which continues to be a very important and growing market for Sendio.”
